Slight vent about fucking tiktok of all things, it’s very cringe, and very embarrassing, but anyway;

Why do my tiktoks cap at 200-300 views, why do I get a fraction of the likes I get on tumblr? It’s very frustrating, because I like my art. I get compliments on it, others like it, I like making fanart it’s fun and engaging. But it’s always ignored. I thought maybe I just wasn’t doing tiktoking ‘correctly’, but I’ve tried mimicking other small artist that get four times the interaction. I use the same style of post and everything. It is just very frustrating.

And it’s such a stupid thing to get upset over…

What did I say to shock a whole classroom into silence?

I was giving a small presentation on what I was planning to do for an assignment. After you present, the rest of the class is supposed to offer feedback. I got crickets. I laughed it off and turned to my professor. She goes, “I think they’re still processing.”

They were. Because after the first, “It’s really bold.” The rest of them finally piped up. I got some really good advice, and ideas.

(Best part is I walked into class an hour late, without sketches to present and a milkshake in hand. I cranked out 3 sketches in under 15 minutes and gave my presentation without notes.)

I’m putting the sketches and notes below for those who are curious. It has a fairly graphic depiction of suicide so please be aware.
